| Activating Your Service |
Your Thailand SIM card will provide you with a Thailand cellular phone number, which can be found on the front and back of your SIM card package and begins with 08.
- Travel to Thailand
- Be sure that the battery is charged
- Insert the Thailand SIM card into your mobile phone*
- Turn on the phone
- A confirmation SMS will be sent to your phone automatically.
- Start calling**
You can reach customer service for your Thailand prepaid SIM card by dialing 1678 from your Thailand cellular phone. A calling rate of THB 3 per minute will apply.
For emergencies while using your local Thailand GSM SIM card in Thailand please dial 112 from your cell phone.
*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Thailand SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Thailand SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.
**When calling overseas from the United States to your Thailand cell phone, callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 66 and then your Thailand cell phone number, omitting the first 0 (zero). To call abroad from your Thailand cell phone simply dial 009 followed by the country code and phone number. To call Telestial you would dial 00918582742686 |

| Adding Airtime |
Your SIM card has an initial airtime credit of THB 300 (approx. US$9.49). Additional credit is available through the purchase of airtime vouchers, also called reload codes (not another SIM card) in Thailand. Airtime vouchers are available locally in Thailand at local Tabac shops, convenience stores (7-11), Happy shops and authorized dealers. Airtime vouchers are available in the following denominations:
- THB 50 (approx. US$1.58) - Valid for 3 days after loading
- THB 90 (approx. US$2.85) - Valid for 6 days after loading
- THB 100 (approx. US$3.16) - Valid for 7 days after loading
- THB 200 (approx. US$6.33) - Valid for 20 days after loading
- THB 300 (approx. US$9.49) - Valid for 30 days after loading
- THB 400 (approx. US$12.66) - Valid for 40 days after loading
- THB 500 (approx. US$15.82) - Valid for 30 days after loading
Once you buy a top-up card, follow these simple steps to top up:
- Scratch off the protective layer to reveal your voucher code
- Enter *100*
- Followed by the card serial number and refill card ID number#
- Press the call or send key
- You will be notified of the credit and validity period via a text message (SMS).
Remember: Do not purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher! Your incoming calls are always free even when you run out of airtime. |
